Before its July 10th launch, Samsung’s new foldables are revealed in detailed leaks

A wealth of meticulous renders of the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 have been published by dependable tech leaker Evan Blass (@evleaks), only weeks before Samsung’s much awaited Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10. These leaks provide the best look yet at Samsung’s upcoming foldable smartphone generation, exposing important specs, possible material enhancements, and improved design.

It looks like the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be receiving a major update to its display. The outer cover screen and the inside folding display appear to have a larger aspect ratio, according to leaks. When opened, this need to offer a more engaging visual experience; when closed, it ought to resemble a more useful phone. In addition, the entire design appears to be taking on a more square form factor—possibly influenced by the recently released Google Pixel Fold.

Although the specifics of the camera are still unknown, the Fold 6’s updated camera enclosure is visible in the leaked drawings. There is a suggestion that the camera system may have been upgraded because the lenses seem larger and could be kept in a black container. Reportedly, the Fold 6, like its predecessor, the Fold 5, may not include a designated space for the S Pen stylus. Leaked case designs, however, appear to support the S Pen going forward, probably necessitating a different carrying solution.

The Galaxy Z Flip 6 is also revealed by the leaks. Alongside a more intriguing silver version, the phone seems to be sporting a bright blue color scheme. The silver hue is quite similar to the Titanium Gray of the Galaxy S24 Ultra, which may validate previous reports that Samsung used titanium in the production of the Flip 6. in comparison to earlier models, this might provide a more robust and lightweight construction.

Beyond looks, it appears from the leaks that the Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 will run on the newest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Compared to their predecessors, this should result in notable performance increases. It is anticipated that the Flip 6 would have a significant enhancement in battery life, which will alleviate a prevalent issue faced by owners of foldable phones. Conversely, the improved aspect ratio of the Fold 6 is said to allow for a smaller design while retaining a larger display.

These developments could have a drawback, though. Rumor has it that the price of the Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 may increase by $100 in the US market. In comparison to conventional flagship smartphones, this can establish them as even more high-end gadgets.

Though these are leaks, it’s crucial to keep in mind that Samsung might yet have some surprises in store for its official announcement on July 10. Nonetheless, these intricate renderings offer a compelling preview of what to anticipate from Samsung’s upcoming foldable phone lineup. Samsung is ready to maintain its lead in the foldable smartphone industry with a focus on sharper displays, possibly better cameras, and a lighter, more robust frame for the Flip 6. It will be fascinating to observe how Samsung strikes a balance between these features during the formal launch, as some potential purchasers may be concerned about the price hike.
