At the end of last year it was announced by Capcom that there would be another Anniversary Collection for the Beat ’em up series. Now finally the release date is fixed. On May 29, 2018, the Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection will be released for the Playstation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
As the name already suggests, the collection contains several games already released in the series. Fans can look forward to Street Fighter , Street Fighter II , II Street Fighter Champion Edition , Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting , Super Street Fighter II , Super Street Fighter II: Turbo , Street Fighter Alpha , Street Fighter Alpha 2 , Street Fighter Alpha 3 , Street Fighter III , Street Fighter III: 2nd Impact and Street Fighter III: Third Strike Rejoicing.
All games have been redesigned and adapted for the modern console. However, you can only play Street Fighter III: Third Strike , Street Fighter Alpha 3 , Super Street Fighter II: Turbo and Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting online.
While waiting for your opponent in the online lobbies, you can fight against a CPU and practice a little bit more. Another new feature is the museum, where you can find concept graphics and character biographies of all fighters. There is also a music player, where you can reminisce with the soundtrack in remembrance.
There is another special feature for the switch. Only for Nintendo’s console, there is the tournament mode called Super Street Fighter II: The Tournament Battle . The new conversion of the arcade mode to Super Street Fighter II can be played against each other with up to 8 players simultaneously. If you do not have enough people to connect, you do not have to worry because there are CPUs as a replacement. As the fashion uses four switch consoles from two players each, the tournament feel is also fast in the living room or on the go.
